Anyone can start a blog and lots of people do. But how to craft a memorable, provocative and interesting blog post week after week – or day after day – is a huge challenge. Learn how to write a stand out blog post in this special new online class. Study the best mom blog posts out there in a special reading package that you will get when you sign up. Get the right inspiration and guidance to start writing your own blog posts and get feedback on your writing and on how to connect with a wider audience than just your friends and family.
In the class, you will write a half dozen stories that you can use to start your blog, or to improve your existing blog. You will make new friends and gain insight into other women's life stories by reading their work and discussing their blog ideas.
Class time is held in an online forum once every other week in the evenings. Exact times will be determined based on the geographic time zones of students in the groups.
There will be four sessions to discuss your writing, other blogs and any and all questions related to blog writing. There will also be six writing assignments that you will post to a shared – but private and secure – website. The instructor as well as the other students will read and comment on your work. The learning that happens when you read other people's stories and the comments and critiques they get is unparalleled and a fantastic experience.
Here's what some students have said about the course:
“After four years of not writing anything except grocery lists and notes to teachers, I have been inspired to pick up my pen! Through Cori's support and her invaluable feedback, I have gained the skills and confidence to create memorable blog posts. I also walk away with a personal support network of some pretty cool mom bloggers.”
“Working with Cori and the Momoir Project has been an incredible experience. I would venture to say it has been life changing. It has allowed to me grow as a writer, a woman and a mother. It has given me the opportunity to connect with other amazing mothers and share our lives and experiences through our writing. Cori is a fantastic instructor who gently guides, supports and encourages.”
